"Nesting" Optimization: Zero Waste, Maximum Yield

When it comes to producing several hundred parts, material economy and machining time are crucial.

Our design office used state-of-the-art Nesting (automatic nesting) algorithms. This technique allows us to virtually arrange all the parts to be machined on the raw Okoume plywood panels in a way that minimizes offcuts. Once the cutting plan is optimized, our gantry CNC machining centers take over.

The choice of Okoume Plywood is not insignificant: it is a light, extremely durable technical panel, offering excellent mechanical resistance and very good moisture resistance, ideal for demanding industrial or logistical applications.

Short Deadlines: The Secret of Internal Assembly Jigs

Fast machining is not enough if assembly becomes a bottleneck. To meet the ultra-short deadlines imposed by the client on this large series, our team showed ingenuity.

Even before launching the final production, our design office custom-designed and machined internal assembly jigs. These mounting "molds" allow our operators to position, drill, and screw the various Okoume plywood parts almost automatically.

The result?

• Massive time saving: The assembly time per unit was divided by three.

• Zero defects: The jig guarantees absolute repeatability. The 500th part is rigorously identical to the first, down to the millimeter.
